AND CLASSICISM ( BY BALANCING SOUND WORD SPACE AND
VISUAL RHYTHMS): A ‘DIFFICULT’ POETRY BUT ONE THAT WOULD AIM AT AND

INEXPRESSIBLE YET MAINTAINING THE MULTIVALENT AMBIGUITY OF WORD AND IMAGE.
ON THE PLANE OF EXISTENTIAL REALITY AND ON
THE PLANE OF SENSE MY BOOK TELLS THROUGH EXTREME DISEQUILIBRIUMS AND OPPOSITES
THE STORY OF A FAR AWAY LOVE. THEY ARE THE FULL AND THE EMPTY ABYSS/HEIGHT
DARKNESS/LIGHT SILENCE/VOICE CREATURE/GOD EXPRESSED BY WORDS AND BY
VISUAL MODES: BY THE USE OF COLOURS (THE BLACK OR THE WHITE PAGES) AND OF
CHARACTERS IN THEIR SYMBOLIC USE, THEIR DISTRIBUTION. CONSEQUENTLY THEIR INTENSIFICATION
CONDENSATION OR RAREFACTION.
THE EXPERIENCE LEADS TO AN EXISTENTIAL
RESPONSE. FROM EMPTINESS FROM SPACE/TIME MADE UP OF DARKNESS LIGHT AND HUMAN
SILENCE THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF ONE’S OWN VOICE IS BORN. ON THIS THE “I” FOUNDS
THE NEW METAMORPHIC PHASE OF THE BUTTERFLY/ PSYCHE.
ON THE PLANE OF FORM ON THE AESTHETIC PLANE THERE MUST BE A BALANCING OF THE
ELEMENTS OF TENSION A NEW ARTISTIC NAY SPIRITUAL EQUILIBRIUM MUST BE BORN. AND
THIS FORM IN MY BOOK MUST PLEASE BOTH THE EYE AND THE EAR AS I HAVE AIMED – I
HOPE SUCCESSFULLY – AT MELTING MY TEXTS INTO THE ONENESS OF A
CONTINUOUS MODULATED COMPOSITION RULED BY SOUND/ SENSE VISUALITY. THE BOOK
AND ITS VERBAL AND VISUAL COMPOSITIONS MUST BE TRANSLATED AND INTERPRETED BY
THE HUMAN VOICE.
THE FRONT AND BACK COVER TITLE REFERS TO THE OVERALL PLAN OF THE POETIC OPUS OF
WHICH AMAMI (THE TITLE WHICH APPEARS INSIDE) IS THE FIRST PART. BUT IT ALSO
REFERS TO MY INITIALS AND TO MY PEN NAME AND BEING IN ITSELF A POETIC ELEMENT
IT ALWAYS HINTS AT SOMETHING ELSE.
